Never let your computer know that you are in hurry. Computers can smell fear. They slow down if they know that you are running out of time.8
-
Friend: Can you teach me to code??
Me: Hell yes, bout time you came to your senses.
Friend pulls out iPad: Okay, lesson one!
Me: Did you actually just pull out an iPad? Get a fucking computer or laptop!9 -
When you've been testing and debugging for an hour frustrated and furious and then found out that you've been editing a different file the whole time. 😥5
-
The first time I tried to use an image as a background, this happened and it freaked me out lmao. Then I realized my mistake7
-
A moment of respect to people who willingly spend time to help out other people on sites such as StackOverflow10
-
Junior dev: asks me an easy question cuz he's too lazy to figure it out
Me: listening, thinking he's gonna waste my time again 😓
Senior dev: eavesdrops and helps him out
Me: saved me, woohoo 😎
*Few minutes later*
Senior dev: "by the time you finished asking this question, you could have compiled the code yourself to see what happens"
Me: 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣😂😂😂4 -
“I don’t have time for the gym!”
But you have time for Netflix.
“I can’t afford to eat healthy!”
But you have time to eat out.
“I don’t have the money to invest!”
But you have money to spend on booze/cigarettes.
The problem isn’t your circumstances - the problem is just you.14 -
Me: "oh its a new year, time to check out some shiny new languages"
Me: *finds kotlin*
Me:
Me: "what the fuck"29 -
Just downloaded some big ass codebase and the first line i read is:
"// The source code is not well documented, but every advanced programmer will be able to understand it after some time."
Well... let's find out about your definition of "some time", Dickhead!3 -
Adult responsibilities for the morning are complete. Trash is out, dishes are done, coffee is made, time to learn some code ya filthy animals7
-
To all the people that dont have the time, knowledge or anything but still want to self host stuff:
http://yunohost.org/
Check it out, install, contribute :)9 -
Dude, for the hundredth time, stop leaving random chunks of commented out code all over the place in case we "need to find it easily later"...
This is literally the reason we use git.
No, I will not pass it in a code review. The same as last time. And the time before...
Dahhhhh19 -
Today I was trying out Google Collaboratory for the first time. Just realised that they've built-in "SEARCH STACKOVERFLOW" button if there's an error1
-
So turns out the flight sim I'm doing time in at the moment is running XP. Yes, it is internet connected. Help6
-
Spent half an hour trying to figure out why the css isn't working only to realise chrome was caching it the whole time11
-
When your boss wants to try out the program but you didn't have enough time to test the code, so you are just sitting there like1
-
That damn moment when you find out ... that ticket you spend a lot of time doing, well, there is a library for that.1
-
Tried drunk coding yesterday for the first time which seems like a rite of passage for us.
Short endeavor. Turns out I cannot type when drunk.11 -
Looking at code you wrote a long time ago and you can't figure out parts of it...leaves you like:" Damn I was a genius"1
-
++-ing a random rant from the feed is like a one night stand whereas subscribing to a user's rant is like a long term relationship!56
-
Coded in C language for first time (due to college assignments)...
Just found out that there are no strings in c language 😐29 -
Fucking China!
The only time they ever come out of their pathetic walled internet is to attack your servers.
Fuck that country.10 -
Just Fixed a major issue in my code and the Sun came out at the same time! I feel like should I go out and scream on my balcony!4
-
If I have to draw out a normalized database on paper one more time I think I might split myself into multiple indexes3
-
When you have 143 opened tabs and you feel like they are sucking the life out of you. Time to get some Oxygen !7
-
First time working with an UI designer. I'm finding out that I'm not that bad with CSS, I'm just bad at design !2
-
The joy of using Kotlin instead of Java :')
Though if I'm not mistaken they produce almost same out put :\ but writing kotlin is just time saving IMO22 -
Finally made the switch. Full-time Linux everywhere! I figured out that all games I play already have Linux support since some time^^
And it feels good! So fast *_*3 -
*boss spends £30000 pounds on an outside team to do, essentially, nothing* "You developers just don't understand business, we need to get products out the door not waste time building them properly. You're wasting company resources, we're out of money and it's your fault". Cool....2
-
My first dev job didn't start out as a job. I started out writing a database querying program just to see if I could do it, and the software ended up being purchased, and me along with it! Seems like such a long time ago now...
-
Someone will have a hard time taking this non-existant tram out of service, and probably even harder to make the insurance company pay for nothing... oh well.8
-
I JUST GOT AN OFFER. God has blessed me. I also found out I have cancer a couple weeks ago. What a confusing time this is lol.13
-
I got two lines of code done today, and they were just changing numeric defines. Time to do that: 2 seconds.
Time for analysing the measurement data of various runs in order to know which numbers will work out: the rest of the day.6 -
Spent an evening coding 100 line of JS front end functionality that I achieved in 5mins with 2 CSS selectors.
Bullshit.3 -
Time to show off another UI built with Flutter. Here is the link to the repo if anybody wants to check it out: https://github.com/samarthagarwal/...3
-
"I'm getting an error. It's just not working right."
Stupidest. Bug. Report. Ever.
Please stop wasting our time with tickets like this people, it only requires is to then spend more time just figuring out what the issue is.
🙄🔫4 -
While compiling LLVM, you have enough time to go get a beer.
Out of the fridge.
From the supermarket.
Two town's over.6 -
Project manager sends mass email out for the 5th time about how things are needed ASAP. We're already overloaded. Sprint planning was thrown out the window a month ago. But the email is in comic sans.3
-
Fuck you Windows 10 and your fucking mandatory updates that fuckes up every fucking time! Fuck you and your fucking inability to update beyond 71 fucking percent! This is the last fucking time you waste my time, your fucking out! Fuck you!!!19
-
Dear Boss
Would you.
Fucking.
PLEASE.
Stop.
Moving.
The Standup.
Time.
You've fucked around with the meeting time eight times since the end of Jan. Figure your schedule out, pick a time for our daily shit, and stick to it dude. PLEASE.
I'm a family man and you're making my mornings absolute hell to plan for.
Signed,
me.5 -
Wasting so much time on gaming instead of learning software development when I was just starting out5
-
Once Upon a Time.........
Three database SQL walked into a NoSQL bar.
A little while later they walked out Because they could not find a table.1 -
I researched a bunch of really beefy computer parts yesterday and the total for the PC came out to be just $2,500 INCLUDING $500 in monitors (HD 144HZ 27')
I genuinely thought this build would be upwards of $4,000
Time to max out the old credit card11 -
Just wasted a ton of time trying to figure out why my circuit wouldnt work properly and then noticed...2
-
Programming with a best friend. Knocked out a project in no time. Just a friendly race between friends.
-
The weekend is here!!!
Time to go out and have fun!!!
Nah just joking. Time to write some quality code after cleaning our company's backend (pun definitely intended) all week! -
Microsoft Azure down on a Friday at home time? Whoever tripped over that cable is probably trying awfully hard to slink out of the building unnoticed right about now2
-
We spent 80% of development time implementing a feature requested by a client. Client for no reason says "the feature is no longer needed take it out ". Am so fucking furious now. Such a waist of time6
-
That feeling when you find out a client you've done work for, for several months hadn't payed us this whole time...
-
I spent a *very* long time trying to work out why my README file wasn't formatting....
It didn't have a .md extension.
:/1 -
I'm embarrassed to say I'm a php programmer. Time to learn a new language. No offense to any php lovers out there. All love ❤8
-
Friday. 17:56. Time to go home.
> git add *
> git commit -m 'wip, feature almost done, need to test'
> git pu... [BIG FAT BSOD]
fuck it, I'm out13 -
Happy Father's Day to all the ranters out there! may your bugs be few, and your code execute correctly the first time.1
-
15 hour days, build is broken, laptop crashed and I ragequit by nearly throwing it out the Window.
Time to go Home. -
Me, about to head out for work: Hey I wonder how much time I have left before the train departs
Clock: 02:00
Me: fuck I did it again
Waking up thinking it's time to start the day and then figure out you can still sleep for 4 hours, while having already showered, put clothes on, eaten breakfast6 -
That time you waste hours searching through a perfectly good method. Turns out the outcome is overridden because you forgot an else in an if-else statement....
-
When you your first developer job... Time to find out whether it's imposter syndrome or if I'm just stupid.
-
Trying out devRantron for the first time...damn this feels good. Thanks @Tahnik @Dacexi @SirWinfield @PhantomBKB and any other contributors of this delightful application!7
-
Have been using python for a long time. Can't help roommate with a C project because my brain automatically filters out semicolons!!😢3
-
I haven't opened my laptop all day for the first time in 2.5 months. Feels damn good. Got some good laughs today out of devrant; thanks everyone.
-
Damn it gitpush focus when type the damn password!! I locked my self out of my server again 😭
Time to visit the portal and login 😒6 -
Had to modify, but phone case is looking good.
(Took embarrassingly long time to figure out how to take photo of phone case, ala, just take phone out of case.)😅4 -
So I just recently joined stackoverflow. Spent some time time and decided I should log out considering I logged in at work. Could not find the fucking logout/sign out button. Even after googling. Had to go to the source code and find the logout link which is hidden in the page.
Looks like it's the new vim.4 -
Definetly signing in and out of my companies time tracking system.
It only works in internet explorer 8 and is a real pain -.-5 -
If Batman was a full time programmer in Dark Knight, "Bugs are not complicated, Alfred. Just need to figure out why they're after" 😂
-
The hard part of participating in an open source project is finding out how to build it for the first time.2
-
!rant
I just found out that I can get 1000/1000 mbit fiber for approximately $50 a month where I live........ Time for an upgrade!7 -
The first time I took Andrew Ng's Machine learning course in 2014.
I was blown out of my wits at what could be achieved with simple algebra and calculus.1 -
spoiler: not a rant
sometimes you just gotta take some time out from looking at the monitor and chill like it's the infinity.
Location: Hounslow Central, London, UK1 -
Note to self:
Fucking comment your fucking code
So I finally got time to work on an old project and now I can't figure out what does what.6 -
I know it's not a microsoft fail, so nobody will spend some time to rant and joke about
https://engadget.com/2017/10/...5 -
That time when I accidentally locked out everyone, and everything, from our production server.. Woops1
-
The latest Ubuntu 17.10 patch let's VMware run out of the box!
Woo!!!!
Finnaly time to migrate! :-D7 -
It took me 30min to figure out why jenkins couldn't connect to my repo even though i was sure i got the configuration right this time. As it turned out fail2ban blocked my ip and made all subsequent attempts fail...4
-
SHIT. Power cut, don't know yet how much code lost, train of thought destroyed. 2 hours to wait to find out. Time for a 4g wank methinks.3
-
I just found out google web dev tools let you copy a request as curl command!
Time to scrape some websites baby!8 -
ITT graduate in 2005. I think I'm the only student in my class that actually got a career out of it.
This has been a long time coming.1 -
I remember a time during my internship in the field of web dev, my Bootstrap didn't seem to work, and since I was quite a beginner, I was having a painful time figuring out the bug.
Turns out, one of my seniors had purposely changed the CDN URL from bootstrap to bootystrap :|
He said, "and that's why in web dev, when nothing works, start by checking your imports"
Lesson Learnt xD -
I actually enjoy helping out my non-IT friends with IT related problems from time to time. I feel useful when I do so :/3
-
Just found out that my script is creating duplicate data on standalone applications that are on the field already :)
Time for a coffee break. -
OK that was a waste of time...
Spent an hour basically figuring all this out...
https://amp.reddit.com/r/Android/...8 -
Reloaded a page every time something updated @ my Backend instead of doc manipulation.
Please don't kick me out of devRant1 -
FLOATING POINT PRECISION! FUCK YOU! Spent so much time trying to figure out what was wrong with an algorithm I made to calculate and correct bounding only to finally realise, after printing out every single variable and calculating everything manually to realise the value was off by 0.0001 which made it skip an if statement. Ughhhhhhhh, so much freaking time wasted3
-
First rant! I hate being OnCall. I'm just out of college, give me some time to ramp up without these panic attacks.3
-
DEI QA: “For step 2 should the checkbox be checked? Or uncheck ?”
… Step 2 of my testing steps reads: “Check it [the checkbox], save it, reload it. The box should still be checked. Repeat to uncheck it, just to be pedantic, then leave it off so we can test the existing behavior.”
🤦🏻♀️
DEI QA: “The payment_method_identifier will be in api callback logs if `Return payment method identifier in auth/confirmation callbacks` is checked?”
🤦🏻♀️
Me: it does what it says on the tin.
DEI QA: “BTW its a `tin`.”
DEI QA: “In Canada its `Taxpayer Identification Number`”
🤦🏻♀️ -
Anybody remember when we actually spent time writing code instead of debugging the tools? Specially the gazillion of crap that's out there for fucking Java shit?11
-
Got a new headset, guess it's time to plug her in and jam out to some sabaton while attempting to build 'something'1
-
Its hard for a developer. Started to learn a new framework or CMS. By the time one gets familiar and fluent, a new and better one is already out.2
-
After doing crazy SCSS nesting for around 800 lines split between 8 partial imports, I just found out about the ampersand operator. Time to refactor I guess.
-
I just found out you can commit single lines of a file without the necessity to remove temporarily debug lines every time ... it has blown my mind.8
-
Oh Lordy, time to yank out those old RPI's and throw vsCode on them!
https://code.visualstudio.com/docs/...5 -
"Programming is like magic!"... Magic that doesn’t work some of the time and laughs in your face while you try to find out why.2
-
I work for a quite small company (4 people) and about 3 years ago, there was this guy from Bolivia who was an intern for graphics and similar stuff, nothing related to programming.
Turns out we got to be quite friends and still hang out from time to time now.
Best thing was when boss wasn't at the office for like a week and we hadn't much to work on, so we spent time smoking, eating, chatting and watching movies... very great time! -
That time when you spend 2 hours trying to debug what your colleague insists is a server issue... Turns out to be something missing from his workflow! FML
-
People think Machine Learning is all about using Super Complex Prediction Models...
But turns out to devote most time in data gathering and data cleaning(preprocessing).2 -
If you're stuck with something and just cannot figure out where the issue is in your code, there is nothing that helps you more than talking the problem out with someone.
Most of the time you'll end up figuring out the solution yourself while describing the problem to him/her. =)2 -
Interviewer: Here's a marker, diagram how you would implement a time management system to track user work.
Me: [draws out complex system to track user work via heartbeat]
Interviewer: God, no.. something more simple like a time clock.
[sigh] -
n-
N A N I ? ? ? ? ?
my dad just upgraded our phone plan from like 100 miles away out of nowhere.
turns out with some weird discount it's only $20 more for unlimited than our old holdover-from-2012 plan of "8GB pool for all lines, but the last 4GB is 3G speeds"
shit
time to start theorycrafting a way to get around the "one device streaming at a time" limit2 -
I’m starting to flat out not trust my team. Every single time I delegate a task it comes back with massive bugs and features missing.5
-
"Specs are out of date at time of writing. Basic premise of how this works: {link}"
and link goes to a 4041 -
Oh wow Elixir, you are so fancy and beautiful. Where have you been hiding! Can i take you out some time? Maybe a small project? 🤓5
-
A global pandemic - it's the time of the year when you can legally enter Bank premises wearing a mask w/o drawing any attention.
It's the time of the year when every crime is carried out by "criminals wearing a mask"6 -
When you hash time entries by year and you are freaking out to make sure your server doesn’t crash due to differing time zones while your family is celebrating New Year’s...2
-
It's a real nice feeling when you figure out the answer to your own stackoverflow question as you're typing it out.
Not gonna make myself look like an idiot this time! No-sir-ee.4 -
Planned on installing Linux, for the first time, on a old computer today. Turns out you need a usb-stick to install it from. Minimum 2gb. - No problem, I thought, because I have a old stick in a drawer. Turns out it was on 128mb. Outdated technology. Time to go shopping.4
-
Today I submitted my code without making sure it doesn't have any bugs because I was running out of time. Fuck.
Let's hope I'm brilliant and this works out.1 -
Got a Yubikey today. Seems like a really cool bit of kit. Time to nerd out and 2FA all the things.2
-
using ssh over terrible internet speeds, spends all the time trying to figure out the cursor position3
-
Fuck timesheet
It's bad enough someone fucking disturb you in the middle of great thoughts. What's worse, you're QUESTIONED where the fuck your time was spent. So you need to work out how much time you have been disturbed, and put in the fucking timesheet!
What a fucking joke! As if we have too much time for meaningful stuff.8 -
Cool. I've installed a time paradox! All that's left is to figure out how to leverage it to my benefit...3
-
Every month I re-evaluate the code I had written previously to compare my progress in coding standards...
Turns out I need a time machine to go back in time and slap myself1 -
Just realized my code was working fine the whole time after spending 5 hours debugging. Turns out I accidentally made it throw an exception at the wrong place .-.
-
Every time I go home I have to switch all my passwords, because my little brother watches me type them and memorize them. Every damn time. I'm running out of passwords.12
-
Get the fuck out of my way!!! I don't need autocomplete. I just want to type - and also see what is in the console - at the same time.3
-
Is it okay for software engineers like us to go out to eat every day? I just don’t find the time to cook for myself. And honestly the time spent cooking would be better spent learning (judging by our hourly rate). Do you think it’s okay for devs to have such a luxurious life style (eating out is a privilege!) because our minds are so taxed on learning and creating?4
-
Udemy got call out for stealing YouTuber's contents again. Last time was Tory, the guy in charge Australia Microsoft security. (Guess they picked the wrong target)
This time is Chris, who makes some awesome free YouTube Python tutorials.
https://dailydot.com/upstream/...5 -
Been trying out WebStorm for my html and js instead of my coding in my usual vim setup today. I think I may have converted. Only time will tell.6
-
Spent nearly 6 hours trying to figure out why my app wasn't reading anything after the first line of my database.....turns out I was calling the wrong method....
this isn't the first time i've done that -
When you find out all of your new fellow web devs are all from boot camps, and you spend more time teaching them than getting your work done. New job time maybe?3
-
Somewhere out there, a middle manager looked at SAP's time tracking tool and thought, "This, yes, this is exactly what we need in our organisation"1
-
Couple of SQL databases walked into a "noSQL" bar.
But after some time they walk out...
As they couldn't find a Table... :) -
Confession:
Owned a smartphone for 10 years, this month was my first time ever getting 3G/4G connection ...
I prefer no internet when I'm out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯5 -
I just setup a new VPS
I made all configuration required
I reboot the server
I forgot which port I set for ssh 😭
Luckily I have console to access from 😅14 -
Started my PhD today. I feel so out of my depth, but so happy to be challenged at the same time. It's a weird combination.3
-
Every time a Segmentation fault is occuring because of a forgotten "return" or "break" I lose one week of life. Almost out of life right here.3
-
When I thought that I was the shit for figuring out that ctrl backspace deleted a word at a time. I was about 10.1
-
Family's out. Sunny Saturday. Summer time. ... ... got a SSD from company: stays home installing dev tools and what not just to check new speedy computer.
-
Managers, the more time you require of devs to fill out forms and such, the less time they have to devote to the tasks they're assigned.. please keep this in mind.3
-
Snapchat introduced stories, WhatsApp copied it.
Now its time for Facebook stories.
Stories everywhere! Copycats!
https://techcrunch.com/2017/03/...2 -
Why is it that EVERYTIME before going on vacations I am loaded with work, that production problems are sent to me and must be fixed ASAP, and that everyone needs me right away all the time. Manage your time stop sucking out mine 😤
-
TV and the Internet are good because they keep stupid people from spending too much time out in public.
– Douglas Coupland -
This is really awesome ! First time I saw devRant I thought that hardly anyone is checking this out but with every day I see so many new, great rants !2
-
Answering stuff on stackoverflow hoping to help someone who feels like you did that one time until that stackoverflow person helped you out...2
-
How much is your max up-time on raspberry pi?
Can it survive being on all the time? The board seems not made out of premium stuff3 -
Do I want to "block out some time to discuss synergies?"
No, thank you, I would rather eat my own knob.2 -
So I am new to coding — excited to be learning but terrified to get out and find some sort of job when that time comes.8
-
You know it's one of those days when you're scouring through vendor code in order to figure out why your code isn't working
Time to get some coffee -
The next time you use Waze, try having directions read out by Liam Neeson's voice.
He's good at finding things.2 -
Taking JAVA I this semester and apparently the professor took out applets from the curriculum for the first time.5
-
I did it! I've finally figured it out!
I've always had this feeling that AvatarOfKaine reminds me of someone. Todaybit finally hit me - O know who it is!
It's mr. Heckles. Always out of context, talks about hell knows what and every time he says smth the only sensible phrase that wants to come out of your mouth is ".... Anyway...."23 -
Famous quote time! I forget who said it, and the number varies a bit from one retelling to the next, but one that has always stuck in my mind since I heard it is the following:
“I’d fire any programmer who spends more than [10 | 25]% of his time coding.”
I’ve always taken this as an admonition to spend time charting out solutions before building, instead of churning out stream of consciousness spaghetti code, personally.
Any thoughts from the broader community on the topic?2 -
Was looking forward to a nice day of programming, finally had some free time to spend
No power today, fml :(
My laptop is now out of power -
First time I've been out all spring or is it summer 😬 been coding my life away
It's nice outside!
Back to work4 -
My server is taking 7 minutes to boot with an ssd 🤔...
Time to systemctl blame the shit out of the system and figure out what config I messed up!9 -
So I've just started pledging for an emulator project that I've been waiting for for a long time. I can't wait to see how it turns out! It's my first time monthly pledging, too ^^4
-
when you spend way too much time trying to figure out why something isn't working and its because you didn't clear the cache
-
I'm so bad about keeping track of my time, that I just use `git reflog --date=iso` to figure out when I was working and not working 😂
-
How do you know when it is time for a break?
transition: color 0.5em linear;
When you cannot figure out what is wrong with this transition...2 -
I just recalled that time I somehow got trapped in a bash shell and went on stack overflow and asked if someone could help me get out of bash...1
-
Feeling good , finally got the time to start on my side-project that has mentally occupied my mind for a while. Let the code out 😊1
-
My worst habit(?) is probably loving to "waste" time, making api uri builders.
so I can chain a couple of methods instead of just typing out an uri :p -
5 minutes till I go home. And server breaks... Out of space and a bunch of the automation tools have thus done harm. I'm no DevOps. But I just want to go home but have to sort it out.
-
What is some career advice you've received, potentially from someone you respected at the time, that has since turned out to be complete and utter bullshit?9
-
You know it's time to search for new job when you constantly feel like taking out wallet and mobile from bag and leave office and never return back
-
I hate having a project to go on with but not being able to :(
For example: I have a project that I want to work on, but I'm currently fixing HDDs and I can't use my computer (which is a backup, therefore quite slow). And I can't stop the HDD recovery process unless I want to start again later.
PS: Am I the only one who deletes his most recent rant when he thinks he has something better to say, and the cooldown is still not over?5 -
I have been writing c++ for a long time and I have gotten away with using my own buildscripts and nothing more.
Just started using cmake for a library. What the absolute fuck is this. I have never felt this out of depth in a long time. -
I've just heard from the business person that we are giving high estimates on the projects delivery time out of spite. Are you fucking kidding me. All of that just because they wrote Hello World and they think they now better how much time it will take.1
-
I can’t reply to anything on social media with out feeling like a complete fucking cunt.
I guess it’s time for bed.4 -
My PM locked himself out of the house the other day. Oh how I laughed... I'm typing this whilst being locked out of my house...
Making use of the time with android programming apps - they are terrible. -
If a minor unimportant thing comes to our time from a very far future, is it able to cause a time paradox?
Like a single grain of sand. Not carrying a deadly pathogen that will wipe out the entire humanity, just a regular grain of sand.
Will it cause a time paradox? Is anything that comes to our time from the future guaranteed to cause a time paradox? If so, why?9 -
But why can’t Android Studio work out of the box?
I want to develop, Not mixture with gradle and stuff...
Time for a Power Nap.2 -
How to go from manual test cases to automation is NP-Hard. Figuring out we have less time than we need is not.
-
anyone from the York/Lancaster, PA area? I'm moving out there in two weeks for my first full time software engineering job!1
-
So time for some stories!
DevRant Masters, what did you find the most Challenging when starting out as a dev?
For me it wasnt actually writing good code, it was more about finding out WHERE to write it, in this clusterfuck of shared projects inside projects.1 -
I think I was having an allergic reaction today and got scared out of it when I remembered the last time it happened.3
-
I used to think work from home have lots of pro like we can save our travel time, don't need to dress-up etc and I always wanted to do wfh. But this Covid-19 pandemic made me to hate work from home now I want to go back to office so that I have fix in-time and out-time and proper 8 hr work time.5
-
Tfw you accepted a project you thought you "can" work on, but over time it turns out that you won't be able to finish the project on time.
:')7 -
I would hack the heck out of Roslyn Analyzers! Everything that could be f*ckin detected at compile-time _would_ be f*cking detected at compile-time. All those freaking config files usages, or attributes/reflection. Analyzers for everything, with sensible error messages! (Although I realize I that's overstretching the concept of unlimited time)
-
Installed chocolatey for the first time because hey a package manager for windows sounds cool
Turns out it automatically installs random ass windows updates
Fuck that noise7 -
1. Finding what I really am
2. Time out for Travel out of country from work
3. Buy own Car
4. Marriage 😜 -
System malfunction: *appears out of the blue*
Me: *searching for THE problem*
Seniors: - it's never just a single problem...
WTF!?!? How come? How many problems are likely to appear out of the blue to cause some malfunction?
Every time.
