2020 and you still buy Samsung? They lost all their credit when I bought their 'flagship model' back in 2012.
-
I gave up on LinkedIn as it's only relevant for recruiters. But here is one that I find worth remembering:

Also, there's not even a remote possibility that 50% of the team are females.

If it's easy, why not start programming yourself? That way, by the end of the year, you can be the millionaire then.

If your friend is not familiar with VCS systems, especially public ones, I would advise Bitbucket instead because by default a GitHub repo is marked as public while a Bitbucket repo is marked as private. I've seen LOTS of developers (both junior and senior) share their credentials on GitHub and from the speed of the following attacks, it looks like some people are actively searching for those kind of mistakes.

@samarthagarwal Haha i know that feeling. 'Just gonna take a quick look'. 2 hours later...

@bondman Well neither I gave a rats ass about SO, but now that I'm 10 years in the bizz, I kinda want to give back to the community. And I want to do it in a way that Stack Overflow was meant for. A large database of well founded questions and answers. While it is true that even I started to care about my rep points, I never answer a question with these points in mind. In fact, most of my answers I post in the comment section as often the fixes are very very limited. The problem with rep-farming users is that they litter the very website that we professionals quite often depend on as both the questions and answers are rubbish.

@Codex404 Hi! Never heard of "het is getelefoneerd"? http://vlaamswoordenboek.be/definit...
-
@nachocode Mostly because I can code Java with a hangover. C++ not so much
-
All but classical music and metal/hardcore. Those I cannot stand.
But mostly hip hop, indie and electronic music. -
@jerome724 Wow.. I thought the exact same thing! Everyone will think you're surfing for porn 24h/day.

Jesus had a beard. Why all the hate then? ;) I think it's wise to leave things be for now, perhaps write down your feelings and your point of view in a letter and send it to them. (yes, that is so last century). Conversations don't quite work in these situations because it's always one person that gets the upper hand. Write down that you have a hard time having your life's choices up to debate. That you and your family feel like they are not welcome or wanted.
Then, wait things out. If no one reaches out, then it's not worth putting more effort in it. As hard as it may be, cut the contact and try to feel liberated. Focus on your own wife and children.Having a beard and doing an evil job with computers is no reason to avoid all contact with one of your kids. You are not to blame. I repeat; you are NOT to blame! -
@Silvus still better than finding a new job 😂
-
Aye, a real brogrammer
-
@garadim because all IT-ers are 40 year old virgins...? Or so the myth goes
-
All IT-ers have virgin mobile. Ha..
-
@SecondThread meaning what exactly
-
I don't know what the fuck I'm doing but at the very least it works! YAY FOR MEEEE
-
Funny this was on 9gag yesterday.. Oh well
-
@ParkCity Total BS. They patched it in march for current products. Of course if you run an EOL product you had no patch. Microsoft has created a patch afterwards for XP and server 2003. I mean.. No company can ever maintain EVERY product they have created.
-
In the end, the biggest fault lies with the users as they neglected to update their system with the latest security updates.
-
@lorki97 Chinese?? I thought it were the Russians!! Or no... North-Korea!! Or was it daesh? Or perhaps the NSA??
-
@Esper I'm a Java fanboy. My butt doesn't hurt.
-
You don't want it? Fine. Don't use it.
And that's the way the cookie crumbles. -

@iam13islucky LMAO you say?
Google the 'Mac@IBM program' .
"Just 5 percent of IBM’s Mac using employees need to call the help desk; In contrast an astonishing 40 percent of PC using staff call the help desk."
