Have fun quitting all your browsers when logging in with your mail address :D

Thanks for all the input! I really appreciate it :)
Today I spent some time sorting out what i want to do with my little learning project.
In the end I managed to get a priorized todo list and some goals I want to reach with my project.
If someone is really interested, here is the github link:
https://github.com/areiterer/...
But I have to warn you all, I am still learning JavaScript, GIT and web development topics (few years of C# development experience though). -
@Voxera thank you!
-
@Voxera that's what I did this time. But I'm not sure how small the tasks should be when I split it up :)
-
@Voxera thanks for that, I like it :)
I somehow have to stay motivated this time -
@psudo I'm on something at the moment, and this time I really want to finish it. I want to build up know how and kind of a portfolio to maybe get side projects for smaller customers
-
@Doehl but somehow I want to have something to show to other people :D
And when I read here from people who fix things in old side projects because they are bored ... I feel bad ... I can't even fix something because I never finished side projects -
If I get one, I will put it onto my work Notebook 😁
-
@Nereus I actually like how that looks :)
-
As soon as I get some ... I will put them onto my work notebook... I'm not sure if I want to put some onto my MacBook also
-
@tild3 Hah! This is awesome! 😀 Never heard of that before ... Thanks 😄
-
First, when writing C#... Second when writing JavaScript 😋
-
@darksideplease thanks! I tested it with different adapters also, but it still got extremely hot. So i ordered a new one a pity that i have to wait... Wanted to play around with my raspberry :D
Btw yes, I'm from Austria... 40km south of Graz :D -
@Defi4NT i guess it was the card itself... When i put it back into my raspi it also got hot as hell. I guess that's why it wasn't readable from any device...
-
This is great! Thanks!
-
@Jase I guess because it could be hard for someone like me who has no experience in contributing to open source projects?
-
@Plinn Thanks! That sounds like a good idea :)
-
I got stuck with react because it seems that I can develop faster with it.
Angular and Ember seemed a bit heavyweight to me. And i never had a look on Vue. -
Been there... Done that.... Didn't even notice it until i came back to the office the next day to see that ove nigh there were thausands of notification mails sent again :/
-
@filax *a big help... Damn autocorrect
-
@heyheni wow thanks! Thats a big hell! GIMP ia a lot too difficult for me, but for a simple black/white wheather app it's somehow ok.
I'll try the tools you mentioned, maybe some day I am able to show something :D -
Awesome! Good to know people like you exist!
-
@heyheni Wow thanks for the list of tools/sites, I'll try them :)
I just use Gimp at the moment to try to get a feeling for it - and because I didn't want to invest any money for tools, as long i'm just learning and playing around instead of doing this professionally.
Yes I have a macbook. -
@heyheni I'm in the process of learning :) Designing a simple weather app and try to focus on aesthetics and alignment. In the meantime I read an interesting series of blogposts and now that I follow some simple rules it gets better :)
I just want to be able to design beautiful (not artistic / perfect) UI and i think I could do it :)
here's the blog post series I found - maybe you have something to add?: https://medium.com/@erikdkennedy/... -
@Artemix I agree - i was looking for a linux notebook (running Arch on my Desktop PC) but then bought a used Macbook Pro from 2013, because I plan to make iOS apps.
I hate the keyboard layout - especially when I have to switch from PC to Mac. But I really never touched a Notebook with a similar haptic / quality. That's what I really like. In all other cases you are right. linux would have been my choice, because i find Macbooks unreasonable expensive. -
@Artemix well: https://medium.com/@housecor/...
here you are :) -
so most of the javascript tutorials i found contain screenshots made on a mac - Am I wrong if I assume that many web developers use macs?
