Open source cross platform desktop client for tracking time

Project Type
Open source idea
Summary

Open source cross platform desktop client for tracking time

Description
Cross platform desktop client for tracking time. I couldn't find a good time tracker that has all required features and that does not require you to pay. Basically, track time you work, see money earned based on hourly rate, export to excel sheet or JSON data. I was not thinking about using a database, but only local storage and JSON file.

    If you store json on 1 platform it will not be stored on other so you need central point for it. You can use google docs to store your info and get it from different devices.. google sheets works with it. Not sure other ways how you will be able to track in one place cross platform

    I'm developing something like this right now. I'll hopefully have it done by the end of 2018 with school and such.

    @Saghen welcome to devRant (:
    If it's open source, you could post a link to github/gitlab and get folks to collaborate.

    @badwolf I have started with a very basic setup. Don't really have that much free time because college, work. I'll try to get a little bit more into coding and setting everything up so I don't feel ashamed when I push it. I'll post the github link here
