HP is shit.

Just look at this thread

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/...

Not only those fucks don't know how to properly make an uninstaller for the shit software they make, their own support knows less about it, than random guys from the internet.

    yes

they seemed fine in the 90s, from my memories of my mom going to them to repair some desktops

I bought good value for money refurbished HP laptop once. can confirm. it's like blue collar retards. by the book. no knowledge of why there's a book.

interestingly flipped that laptop 3 years later for more money than I bought it at. I even told the guy it overheats. he didn't care. handed me a ton of cash. don't have much to argue with there!

As someone whos been fixing computers since before Y2K didn't happen, I can say that theyve gone downhill.

Now they are basically the Jose Cuervo of computers... at least before the Gen Z's. Broke teens to 20's kids with no valid frame of reference see it as real and/or premium tequila... cuz they don't know what good tequila actually is.

One of our servers is an HPE. I'm not fond of the brand or their odd BIOS-esq system meant for easy operation for nitwits (iLo)... but it contained a valid processor and was incredibly cheap with how i got it. But, just like with their laptops and beyond, there's some poorly engineered basic stuff, like the design of the front cover. It's such a task to put the damn thing back on that it often ends up off for weeks.
