- Did you know Google is who manages Android.
- It's a simple fact.
- so you know Visual Studio is not designed for Android? Then why it's easier to build a hello world app in visual studio but Android studio which Google build it?
- O_o

    I don't get. How is it easier in VS?

    @HoloDreamer
    It took me about an hour to set gradl and etc.
    But vs just install it an it's done

    @demiDev Android Studio automatically setups Gradle for you. Can't even imagine how you circumvented this. You did something horribly wrong.

    btw Google didn't really build Android studio, it's essentially just a rebranded IntelliJ (which was made by JetBrains)

    Yeah with Android studio you just create a new project, hit run, and hello world. No coding/Gradle required. Even hello world is hard coded for you.

    @Krokoklemme Google heavily modified it though. But yeah they did use intellij community as the base.

    @Forside
    It's true but we in Iran can not download Android studio directly,
    Even not sdk or gradl.
    We should dl it from custom sites.
    Then setting Android studio manually it is the hard thing.

    @demiDev Guess you don't have access to the sites? But well, that's not the poor Google engineers fault 😕

    @Forside
    No I don't access.
    But other IDE like vs, intelliJ and etc don't have problems like this

    "Poor Google engineers? 😁😁
    I thought they works in programmers heaven.

    If you have access to IntelliJ, therefore you can install the Android plugin, also try a VPN to download the SDK

    @demiDev why is that?

    @cliatt
    ??
    I didn't get your mean

    @demiDev why can't you download Android Studio directly in Iran?
  • 0
    @cliatt
    just because Iran is in Google black list.
    many useful Google services are inaccessible in Iran
  • 0
    @demiDev oh I see. So it's Google blocking Iran, not Iran blocking Google. Correct?
  • 0
    @cliatt Probably Iran told Google to block Iran.

    @cliatt
    O_o
    Of course. Iran didn't ban google.
    It's google who did this.
  • 0
    @demiDev this seems to go directly against Google's values. Why did it block Iran?
  • 0
    @cliatt
    Because US boycotts.
