Before I learned how to code and people said that you should print hello world I thought they really meant hook it up to a printer and print it on paper

Same with me! When I started C, I was afraid to use the printf command, because I thought that it would waste ink and paper. I would at first unplug the printer from the computer, then start writing code... It took me a few days to get used to the concept... 😂
