People are so annoying.

It's 12 so finally, happy new year!

I'm trying to spend my new year by reading and there are annoying idiots outside have a country from 10 to 1 until it was 12 am.

Now they have fireworks and are screaming at the top of their lungs with music...

Looks like I won't have a peaceful night.

    @ewpratten
    I don't have a basement rip. I doubt the garage will cover the sound.

    It's the new years eve, what do you expect? People party and shoot fireworks that night, it's normal.

    @Froot Yeah, I agree with this

    @Froot
    Yes, but I hate all types of parties and sound. I can't even be in a classroom without wanted to bash in the heads of all the other students because of how loud and annoying they are. I hate it when people laugh to loud and I just want silence.
    Sorry, I probably sound like an inconsiderate idiot, but I can't stand it at all! :(

    @Michelle True. Silence is great.

    @Froot does not make it any less annoying. Try listening to fucking banda music till 4 am and sit there telling yourself that shit is normal...mind you I live in an "expensive" part of town. Shit is not expected from "wealthy educated" people.

    Couldn't sleep until 5 am. I guess that's when the neighbors passed out drunk or something, since they were finally silent.

    @AleCx04 I laughed hard. Dude, the wealthy people are often the ones who party the hardest 😄

    @Michelle Anyhoo, don't you have night time rules or something there? In here you can't disturbed please peace after 23:00 and if you do they can call cops on you. So if they really did prevent you from sleeping let say you could have called the cops. Would have put you in a bad light with your neighbours but still.

    Well isn't it normal shooting off fireworks until 12 or a bit later and partying until the early morning at new years? I mean that's what we did and mostly all other people, but maybe it's different in the US?

    @Froot that really depends. 26, been living in similar areas all my life and this is the first time that my neighbors party this much.

    @Floydian you are absolutely right my man. Money does not necessarily mean education or even etiquette at all. But depending on the culture it does have some impact. In my case, I live in a place where the culture is generally that of Mexican type culture. Here at least, being loud and obnoxious normally is attributed of not having manners, in which case it is normally attributed to the "lower class" .

    @Floydian It takes smarts to get rich, generally speaking. So it's a fair estimation to say that richer people are on average smarter than poorer people. It makes more sense when you flip it: smart people generally use their smarts to make themselves wealthy.

    @simo002m Absolutely, same here. New year's eve is one of the 2 largest party days in the year here, other is midsummer eve. It's normal, I don't get all the fuzz.

    @Froot Yeah, I mean, let just people have a little bit of fun
