I do understand this very well. If you can fuck up the PC with one thing, it's installing a (wrong) driver. Also, you don't have to do this daily so is filing a ticket once such an issue?

We once had laptops that didn't allow to install anything, we opened so much tickets that the system administration department got crazy and gave us root again.

Btw, how can you expect someone to be able to write decent software while also expecting them to open wrong shit at the same time. My judgement is as good as theirs
