These updates are clearly not for the benefit of any computer owner, I really dislike the idea that a company can access and change files on a personal system, especially adding another program without permission. Not to mention their so-called "AI" is a huge security risk, mainly designed to collect private information.

I was so pissed off when I saw it on my taskbar. Removed it immediately, and did what I could to remove it from my system too.

What makes you think that Microsoft think you want copilot on your taskbar?

The purpose is to normalize copyright infringement.

Because nearly every product owner / project leader in the entire tech industry drank the AI cool-aid and starts every planning by asking "How can we pivot even harder to AI?"
I imagine that, like, logitech will soon launch a mouse that predicts where you will move it to or something. You just have to sign up to their (paid) service and allow them to record your screen forever. And it's not optional.
Microsoft will put copilot in the freaking window header next. Just wait and see.

cuz they want an excuse to use AI to collect all your computer usage habits, and data probably

it would be hard to prove in the court of law that it saw your nudes because it sort of compresses its memory
