    @theScientist I think that regardless the matter, conversations should involve understanding the topic first and then commenting on that note.

    Speaking doesn't mean we can say anything whatsoever w/o having a look at the topic, it can mislead, interrupt, and hurt others.

    @theScientist but the quote does not prohibit a quick reply, its the listening part that is important.

    If you do not listen with the intent to understand, chances are you will never understand even it giving it thought and whatever reply you give could be wrong or irrelevant.

    But if you listen with the intent to understand you can reply with a message you need more time or a question for more clarifying information.

    I think the quote was a very good description of a big problem :D
