While most of the developers like to work on an IDE with dark theme, I still prefer my code to be on a white background.
Am I the only one with this odd taste or are there any other fellow devs with similar interests 🤔

I understand people have different preferences, but everytime I see white background my eyes literally cry :D

@architect Oh is it? Power of my eyes are little bit on a higher side. It's probably due to that I cannot handle IDEs set to a dark theme!

As they say... Once go black never go back. Or something like that.

@Agred I tried black theme due to peer pressure but I don't know. My eyes were not too comfortable. Maybe I've not used it for a longer period to get used to it.

Sean barrett of the awesome stb libraries is a hardcore white background ide coder. https://github.com/nothings/stb
He also doesnt use auto completion and stick with the vs2013 as far as I know. The important thing is how you feel comfortable I guess.

Light theme here as well. Primarily because I feel intense pain when switching from a dark themed IDE to a browser, Finder or any other light themed app.

@kgbemployee And what do you do with the white background of most websites?

The default theme on pycharm is too bright, switched to the dark theme for less strain on the eyes
