It become default search engine since the first day and I'm lazy to change it so yeah, me.
-
On my main browser it is, others I'm lazy about. Guess that are still memory leaks. 😅
-
@Bl00D4NGEL Yup haha. Don't trust it that much but it's better than being integrated for sure in a mass surveillance engine :)
-
I'm trying to as much as possible, however many times it's being shit and I need to go back and Google something.
-
fdgram4867yThe problem with DuckDuckGo is they can only serve basic requests -- any search query that is slightly complicated or uses similar but not exact terms, it's just returning random results. I'd love to use DDG but I also have to get things done.

@Froot I don't get what the whole deal is with Russia. Over here politicians etc keep claiming Russian fake news/hacks etc etc but when people really look into it, they're all just claims without any proof.
Next to that. Ddg has partnered with bing and many other search engines as well. -
Froot75397y@linuxxx A country that invades its neighbours, intentionally runs air force attack exercises dangerously close to neighbouring states' capitals, frequently invades neighbouring states air space. A place where opposition is not wire tapped like you're so much afraid of but killed, shot in broad daylight.
Add to that their reprehensible actions from the past that gave us a good look at what they're like.
Oh and the propaganda war they're pushing... That too.
I don't know man... I think your living in a bit of a bubble. -
@Froot I'm talking about a search engine, not the government itself. Not saying they could be involved but i think this is a different subject.
We had huge ddos attacks in the Netherlands recently which at first appeared to be from Russia and every media outlet was speculating about it and pointing fingers.
It was an 18 years old kid from a tiny local Dutch town (he made a stupid mistake for getting caught). -
@Froot I'm not defending Russia by the way. It's a horrible country (the govt) imo but that doesnt mean that everything from Russia is bad.
-
Froot75397y@linuxxx Obviously everything isn't bad. But how I see it, I'm puting my own little sanctions on the country by not using their products, I know, it's insignificant, but it's something. If enough people did it it would have a visible effect and the government would feel it so I'm just doing my part.
Im still open to using russian products or ones made by russians but it really does have to be a damn good product for me to use it. And have no ties with the government.
Basically, I operate like the Norwegian pension fund operates in some sense 😄.
Who else use DuckDuckGo as their default search engine?
