I'm about to get my MSc and I've been getting a lot of interesting offers as a software engineer at small and big companies.
But I'm a fucking chemical engineer, and I don't know if I should be honoured or I should be mad. What the fuck is wrong with people?

@darxor the fact that I write code doesn't make me a normal dev. Designing and building applications for numerical simulations and engineering has much different challenges and approaches compared to more canonical software engineering or webdev jobs. Even if it would be a job regarding the languages I'm comfortable with, I'd just lack the experience and thought process needed for it since I cover a very small nieche and I'd need to learn everything from scratch. Any self-learned programmer would simply do a much better job than mine.
