OMFG network-manager randomizes the mac of wlan0. And it ignores me turning this "feature" off. WHAT THE HELL MAN

    o_o randomizes mac.... first time I've heard that, maybe I just haven't noticed it before but... that is weeeeird, like really, properly weird

    If the wireless switch demands your netman to randomize the MAC, then it has to randomize the MAC!
    If you think about it, it's a pretty good security feature.. almost similar to how your phone's identification is handled by GSM towers.

    @D3add3d guess how my jaw dropped seeing 20 leases for the same device but different mac/ip in my router + me wondering why i can't access it via the ip from before..

    @mohitsharma44 does this really work like that, the switch demands it?
    Because it's a known fact that network-manager does this randomization defaultwise.

    @daintycode totally my fault. I had read up on Mac randomization quite sometime ago and for some reason I thought that the switch can demand for random Mac address (as a security feature) but indeed that's not the case.
    You are right, network managers control if they want to perform Mac randomization or not.
