We did some assembly in college. It was fun once I got the hang of it (I have since forgotten it though 👍)

I remember there was one challenge to get a dot around a maze by sending commands to a virtual device.

I remember the lecturer well, she called me a twat (in a funny, endearing way) because I’d solved it in a way she hadn’t been able to by encoding the instructions in memory with things like “forward 5, left 2” etc. It involved a lot of memory lookups and indirection etc.

Was a lot of fun, but also caused some tears too 😂
