Do you consider mounting users' homedir through a nfs server a bad practice ?

I don'tknow about the details though, but many programs store their data in the users home directory (.cache, .myprogram, .config, .mozilla etc.). There are too many things you could miss (my uneducated opinion), e.g. someone could install malicious addons in your browser.

Better safe than sorry, either mount a subdirectory or find some other way to do what you want to do.
