I don't understand how my leads are so bad at estimating time.

"I'll message you in five minutes" = they'll message me in an hour

"Give me ten minutes" = I will sign off for two hours and not respond for another 45 the next time you see me on and message me

Seriously, stop saying things you don't mean. It's rude and insulting.

    I have friends like this. Game at 10 today? Yeah sure. Arrives at 13 on TeamSpeak and asks everyone where they are, when we already played without him.

    Clients do this all the time.

    It’s easy to assume because they’re your primary focus that you’re theirs too.

    Chances are they’re busy.

    I find progressively more passively aggressive follow up emails can help or hinder in equal measure. If nothing else it’s a fun gamble.
