The sheer rage I feel after sending an 'urgent' email to a client, following up five times with no reply, and finally getting a reply a week later: 'Thanks for your patience!'... I wasn't being patient, I was suffering.

    He didn't see the other emails yet. That's why he thought you were patient. He'll regret the comment a few minutes later.

    reminds me when a manager would send me emails on the weekend and end them with "thanks for doing this for me"

    I would've done it but because you assumed I would do it uhhh.... well now I can't.
