    I'm still waiting for the day, when there is an opensource drm-system for, you know, managing proprietary stuff.

    @CorruptComputer one of the good things about open source is that bugs are easily found, and more eyes mean better security

    Yeah let's open source paid items so that bastards can take the paid portions out and kill the software industry.

    @AlgoRythm That's a fair concern.
    My favorite sort of open source is when companies have community editions of software in addition to paid professional tiers along the lines of JetBrains. It helps them stay sustainable through their professional paying userbase, but also has the benefits of being open source in part, like letting poor students like me use their software for free 😂
