I just bought some software that I have had a cracked version of for a few years. That feels so good

    and that software is?

It sure does, but sometimes I face the issue of the software being so useful but is meant for companies to buy and personal use, for example: Microsoft Project, though I for now use Project Libre (https://www.projectlibre.com/), but MS Project is waaay more advanced and better to use but it is around $1,000

I wanna buy Chris Fidao's expensive courses, fantastical 2, git tower, phpstorm, subscribe to 1password

@Devnergy it’s a vst for music production - Xfer Serum.

@gitpush In that case I think it’s a bit more acceptable. I don’t understand in these cases that they don’t make a personal license

@devs Maybe the cost of support for personal license exceeds the profit margin they want? But they need to think of that for sure

    was it winrar??
  • 2
@gitpush That’s probably right, however personal users usually don’t require the same level of support

@tinybyte nope, I stick to 7zip. It was xfer serum, a vst for music production

@devs hmm.. didn't think of it that way, though I was not able to find alternatives for it, only for macOS (iTaskX) it is pretty good and affordable 140$, though I bought it with 50% discount on Black Friday XD

@gitpush and then people ask why I like MacOS so much. There are just so many apps for productivity/automation that just doesn’t exist for neither Windows nor Linux unfortunately
  • 2
@devs Ya I was shocked to see all those options available for macOS, I wouldn't expect the same for Linux but it is a shame for Windows not having the same though

@gitpush Precisely. UNIX, iTerm2, Alfred, Hazel, Apple Script, Parallels
I’d kill to have all these tools on both Linux and Windows (since I use them all)

Anyways, that could be an entire rant itself

@devs ya it is amazing to have same tools on all platforms but life is not fair :S

@devs oh man, I fucking love Serum.
My second-favourite synth (IL Harmor is my favourite)
    Good choice!

@RememberMe Yea, I love it too. I really love Harmor too.. Too bad Image Line haven't made a native MacOS Harmor nor Maximus vst :( I'm slowly moving to Ableton Live
