    Welcome to the Arch linux community! Just so you know, you're now obligated to interject during any os discussion and mention that you use Arch 😉

    @sdushantha Try Gentoo.

    @Lahsen2016 What's wrong with gnome? Agree with the light theme though. OP should get the gnome tweak tool and turn on the global dark theme.

    @PrivateGER Oh, you have a feature you enjoy? You can kiss it goodbye in the next update as the GNOME team will remove it.
  • 1
    @gentooman Do you have any idea what makes Arch Linux differ from other distros?
  • 1
    @PrivateGER I am talking about GNOME, the DE. Which is seemingly distribution agnostic, but who knows? Maybe that'll change? And the shit I am referring to is how the GNOME team are incompetent fucktards that've infected every major distribution.
  • 1
    @gentooman Well, Arch doesn't come with a DE. That's the thing that makes it different. It doesn't offer an installer, you do shit yourself.
    You choose your environment and can throw GNOME out the window and in the trash.

    @PrivateGER Of course I know of this, many distributions embrace this method, I am still no fan of Arch though, hence my name I am tied to Gentoo.
  • 1
    @gentooman How's that compiling coming along? :D
  • 0
    @PrivateGER Little overhead, unused ram is wasted ram, computer is not working unless the fans spinning fast. And best of all, free of poetterings systemd garbage collection
  • 1
    And isn't that the exact point of using arch? Don't like gnome? Don't use it. Don't like systemd? Don't use it.

    Replace gnome and systemd with whatever you want...
  • 1
    @Lahsen2016 Oh, I also don't really like it.
  • -1
    @Rohr @ramen Implying? I didn't say that you can't run Arch without systemd or change your DE. Also most DEs are bloated anyways.
