I get tickets with this all the time. I extract the image and attach it to the ticket, with an explanation of how to skip the paste-it-in-word bit, send that to the customer, and THEN start working on their issue.

teilo4087yThankfully my guys insulate me from the bulk of those kind of tickets.
But then there are those shitty little python/django data processing apps I developed years ago that are still used on a daily basis. I still have to support those because I don't have a developer of my own to hand them over to. And since they all work perfectly fine, there's been little reason to touch them. Every ticket in the last 5 years was people feeding them bad data.
Ex exemplum:
Them: "Grid Tool broke." Sends me a word doc with a pasted error message.
Me: "No. Your spreadsheet is broken."
Them: "I checked it." Sends me a word doc with a snapshot of the spreadsheet. Seriously? Send me the fucking spreadsheet!
Me: "You have 'TBD' in a quantity column."
Them: "That always worked before."
Me: "No, it really didn't." -

Please stop pasting screenshots into Word docs and emailing them to me. What the hell is wrong with you? You are on a fucking Mac. You figured out how to grab a screen region with an obscure key combination, but you can’t figure out that you can paste them directly into Gmail, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird?
