Sherlock Holmes' "It's never twins" translated for programmers is "It's never a bug in the language"

    I've found plenty of language and framework bugs. They're rare and fun! Or infuriating.

    Usually, though, the bugs are caused by crap code from coworkers whose brains stopped thinking and/or who probably shouldn't be coding. Bleh.

    @Bitwise I hate you haha
    But no, I've only found two bugs in Rails, and none thus far in Ruby.

    Most language-level bugs I've found have been in PHP, and a few in GS2 (a custom language from an mmo I worked on). It's one of the reasons I bash PHP as much as I do 😋
    I found another in the MS Visual C++ compiler while in highschool where its optimizations would break in specific scenarios. The teacher refused to believe me, even with a demonstration. The bug was patched the same year, and he conveniently forgot about my discovery. :/ I also found a couple in Euphoria, but I was pretty green at the time so those were likely my fault.

    Mostly I just get "lucky" and notice some unusual behavior, then set out to track it down. I don't think I do anything too weird or arcane?
