Being asked to find hacky work arounds / fixes due to bad design is killing me.

    I did. They dont want to "waste" time doing so. Happened several times.

    Sometimes a simple solution is to make use of literals, instead of refactoring or using literals, theyd rather have several try catches embedded within each other knowing they will be catching 90% of the code

    As usual. Spending 3 hours rewriting something "that works" is a big no-no, but spending 3 days to apply ugly workarounds to it is fine :<
