Instagram, a social network all about pictures... No, you can't see them full screen!

Is it? I always thought Instagram was the social network where self centered people gathered around to indulge in a circle jerk of soft core porn, senseless captions, food porn and selfies out of the reach of their parents or boss.

But that's just me. And I agree they should be displayed fullscreen.

And yet presumably somewhere there’s a product backlog with prioritised items on it. I wonder what the top looks like.

At least now I can use this as an excuse:

Client: "Hey, I can't view this photo in full-screen mode."

Me: "Yeah, it's a very highly sophisticated technology, not even IG know how to do it."

@JKyll social signaling != image, it takes many forms: no network or user is immuned. But yes, Instagram is probably the worst in that regard.

@jdatap the intention is what changes, the difference being that in Instagram the superficiality of the intention is transparent compared with this site where the intention, if superficial, makes it look way too obvious and due to the community won't gain much traction as the DevRant community rewards authenticity and merit before superfluous traits (in general).
