Yup, I'm very much a proponent of making public transport free/tax based - don't need fucking controllers and other nannies then and more people would probably use it
-
@BordedDev I’m for it. But this won’t happen because it would mean lots of people will lose their jobs.
-
@Lensflare Yup, can't forget about the people making ads for how bad you are evil for not using public transport
-
@Lensflare I would rather pay for people unemployment and not get the same people harassing my wife because one of THEM let her in without checking her ticket.
THEY let her in without tickets (she was lost in the station, it's a big interchange) and then THEY fined her for not having VALIDATED her tickets. So she had a whole card, that she paid, and that she had to use to get out of the station, she wasn't trying to defraud anything.
Motherfuckers -
@ANTIASYLUMIST sounds to me like your wife should not be left unattended in public places. just like you.
-
@tosensei you do not speak badly about the woman I love, bitch. She did nothing wrong and she's ten time the person you'll ever dream to be.
-
jestdotty723522h@Lensflare not about their jobs. controlling people and making them feel like peasants is the feature they desire. and they get to do it with your money, bonus!
-
jestdotty723522h@tosensei are you volunteering to be a nanny. you sure have a lot of free time for a nanny
-
Public transport is a service.
It costs money; it does not generate profit.
If they can match salaries with ticket sales, it's already good. -
@NoToJavaScript they wouldn't have to match it if they didn't hire an army of guy to harass people and pay tickets. If you take the money for these automatic doors and the ticketing and the people who sell them and the controllers, it costs as much as all the money from tickets and suscription combined.
Then the people who run the actual trains are paid by our taxes
Our metro system spend as much in salary and infrastructure designed to make sure you pay tickets than the money from the actual ticket sales.
So basically you're paying tickets to have bareers and controllers. And then you pay taxes to run trains.
It's fucking racket.
