So I have been using IntelliJ for two weeks now. Still failing to see how this is superior to Eclipse. It has crashed or locked up multiple times, makes dependency management needlessly complicated and the UI just plain doesn’t make sense. I don’t see anything here that makes this software worth $60 per month when my free software does everything yours does, but better.

Everyone on my team who is being forced to use it hates it and the money our company is paying for it could be used for better things like toilet paper with more than one ply.

I went from netbeans to eclipse, back to netbeans and then ultimately to the free version of IntelliJ Idea (Dont see the need for the bought version). I love it and use the PhpStorm variant too and both are like godsent IDE's to me. Sucks that you are having issues though, not everything is perfect I guess and its impossible to cater for everyone. Good luck though.

I am using Gradle for my dependency management. It has been a nightmare with IntelliJ.

Had to use it for a group git project, I think its cool, it's some nice features like defining and naming stuff! Which always takes some time for me!
    Free version all dat way!

IntelliJ is absolutely awesome. Never had any problems with it.
