hube6416yNoisy could be good, sometimes walking through a process allow to spot errors you wouldn't notice if you didn't (ofc i am talking for new stuff, coz once you got some automatism you don't need it anymore)

@hube right? And I'm literally working on a financial database for a multimillion dollar company. "you are not allowed to do good" is basically what they are saying.

My teammate next to me curses to himself all day every day. I'm always amazed that nobody complains about it, but he's been there over 30 years so I think everyone is waiting for him to retire lol. I tend to talk to myself too, but I find writing things down as I think helps mitigate the frequency a bit.
-
@EtherealRage I write stuff down constantly, mind you most of it I scribble over but some of my pseudo code I write gets to stay.

@hube yea, right now I'm working with a weird dashboard database language called Qlikview. It's kinda weird.

alright so I've been at my new job for 3 days now. I got a complain that I was talking too much or was just in general to noisy.
I'm sure alot of other developers do this but when I am programming I talk myself through steps. I understand that this is an office environment and I need to keep quiet. But what I don't like is that other full time employees are being hypocritical.
One other worker had a 40 minute conversation, that I'm sure the entire office could hear, about the card game bridges.
Another was full on yelling at a team of devs over the phone about how they should get the entire team to work on a bug that he had found.
