So I am quite good in learning a programming language while doing a project with it. But I am really bad in "classical learning". I learned English in school from grade 3 and had three years of Spanish in my highschool but I learned absolutely nothing in my Spanish class. Now I would love to learn some other languages but my brain is kinda blocked. It seems like I first have to learn how to learn. What are some learning practices that you guys use? Especially for topics where you have to memorize things instead of understanding the logic behind it. And how do you train your brain to become a better learner? Thanks in advance!

Memorizing is a thing of repetition and discipline. Write flash cards - yes, hand write them - and go through them before you go to sleep. And at some other point during the day.

In my case, it helps me a lot to write things down by hand. Even if I don't read through my notes that often, it just helps me for some reason.

for spoken languages: motivation is key. I almost failed English in school. Then I met ppl I wanted to talk to who only spoke English. I watched movies with subtitles in English, and found a person online who like the same things as I (through a forum) who was a native speaker and would correct me. We chatted a lot, after a while, we used voice chat. And voila, there we go. Now I speak English every day. Since I am lazy af though, instead of learning new words I tend to describe what I mean with words I know. xD
