Being a quant developer based in the UK, do you think it's possible to find a job in US? Ideally I was thinking to approach a fintech.. What are the real obstacles in doing this?

I think the biggest problem you will have is staying there longer than 3 months. It's impossible to get a green card. My friend is a home own out there from the UK and he can only stay 6 months of the year.

@pretzlerich True that, but I was hoping the company would have sponsored me! Do you think that's unrealistic?

@7Raiden nothing is impossible but you would be very lucky for that to happen. I would suggest arranging a meeting with an employer out there. Take a trip over see if it's for you and what they could potentially do to help you. Maybe chat with some companies over linkedin would be a good way to start?
