When a shitty website does a bad job at preventing behavior by disabling client-side items (such as right click), I take it as a challenge, and usually do everything they don't want me to, simply out of spite.

I used to do tech support at Homestead. One of the features in their sitebuilder was to be able to put decorative “frames” (basically, DIVs with a border set) over your images (or anything else) to protect them from being stolen. Since these frames were drag and drop items unattached to the images they were meant to protect, they usually looked misaligned in the best of cases.

Had one customer call in, absolutely furious because none of the last 3 reps had been able to help him. He spent all kinds of time working on his site, but for some reason nothing worked.

Turns out this genius had taken one of the frames and covered his entire page with it like plastic wrap because he didn’t want anyone stealing any of his content. Repeat for every page on his site.

Oh, how many people I disappointed by pointing out that Print Screen will circumvent 90% of the protections they were trying to throw up...
