How I feel when im asked to add functionality to a project that was built like 10+ years ago and needs refactored in its entirety but the code base is so terrible that youre honestly better off just starting it from scratch but you are thrown into 5 other million things and there is no time to do it so you just shit out the bare minimum code that will not break the rest of the application.

    …had to double-check. This is basically my life right now.

    Even worse: when you actually shit out the minimum code so not to break the application and it passes unit testing, but the motherfucking QA analyst wants to test the whole complex flow of the use case (EVEN THOUGH it's out of your scope) and puts old undetected bugs on you. It's so much fun!
