inaba45896yIf they are just words and "who cares?", then there wouldn't really be an issue with changing them lmao
-
620hun81886y@inaba because it offends some people. Please tell me how changing such arbitrary terms offend you.
-
I'm offended anytime someone says the words "you're wrong". These words must never be used again
-
inaba45896y@620hun So these are just words that nobody cares about yet changing them to words that might possibly cause less offense (if it ever did) is bad?
It doesn't really sound like you've thought your position through tbh -
620hun81886y@inaba My point is, these are are words that are considered offensive by some groups. If changing them makes people feel better, then they should be changed.
It's beyond me why any of you would be so emotionally attached to these terms. -
inaba45896y@620hun personally I don’t care whether it’s the one or the other. So far you haven’t done a good job saying why it should be the one
-
@620hun
There is a lot of flaw to this logic.
Are you saying anytime a group of people consider something offensive they shouldn't be used? That's a slippery slope.
In reality, there is nothing offensive about these words.
We aren't emotionally attached to these words specifically. But speaking for myself, I'm emotionally attached to not being censored in a way that could make me use words that dont describe exactly what I mean. This censorship the left is pushing is not productive in any way.
My two cents on the master/slave issue: they are just fucking words for fuck's sake. Who cares? Just move on already, you're more annoying than your neighbourhood SJW.
