Yesterday
Boss: Can you export the foo data and send it to me?
Me: Sure
Me (later): Ok, just shared foo.csv with you. It should have everything you need, just let me know if you need the bar data.
Boss: OK, thanks.

Today
Boss: Did you get the foo data exported?
Me: Yes, I shared that with you yesterday
Boss: What did you name it?

This is all in a chat, by the way, not in person. Scrolling for 1.5 seconds reveals all the relevant information.

How do I respond in a way that is not sarcastic and does not belittle my boss? I'm not sure it's even possible.

    It's not possible hahah

If it's on Slack I would "share" the message (where you gave the info) in the same conversation, so satisfying

Imagine this scenario with absolutely no response from the boss, ever, until his next request days or weeks later. That happens every single time my boss asks for something.

Did he get the data/report/email/document? Did he forget? Who knows! He doesn't answer when I ask, either!
