On the flipside, I'd argue that learning languages by being forced to write programs in them is actually one of the fastest ways to get to grips with them. Feels like it sucks when you spend ages trying to get anywhere initially sure, but it can work out well long term.

FoxYou256y@AlmondSauce sure, but I saw the program she is doing and it's only using a very specific API and no "funny" programming logic. Of course the documentation has been done by the previous and is really bad haha

So one of my friend is doing her internship now and she has to program in Java because her boss believes she is studying IT although it's not the case. She is feeling really bad because it took her a week to code what is for them a simple program... I don't know what to say to her... It's not like it's a good thing to learn Java through a specific program! Anyway it's just so annoying these people who believe that if you're studying tech, you must "of course" know a programming language...
