Student jobs at your Uni shouldn't require more experience than they can expect their own students to have :p
Personally, I hate my Uni's digital presence (I think it was designed by the spaghetti monster) so I just got a "normal" student job and I will just contribute to whatever GitHub projects I would be proud to be part of.

Thinking of applying for a student job to get some dev experience. How much knowledge is usually required? I know some languages, but never had a bigger project in uni.
