How do I know if a 3D model I found from a video game marketplace will actually work well with my home 3D printer without a lot of hassle?

You try printing it, trial and error :) Or maybe I would cut out some difficult section I'm not sure about and print just that to tweak it first and make the iterations faster and cheaper. That's the hassle though, lol. I don't think there's a better way though.

When I first started exploring 3D models from game marketplaces, I was cautious about compatibility with my home 3D printer. What helped was focusing on sources that provide detailed information about the file format and printer compatibility. For example, platforms like https://www.gambody.com/premium specialize in 3D printable models from video games and offer files in .STL format, which works well with most common printers like FFF, SLA, or SLS. They also provide thorough testing and clear printing instructions, which minimizes guesswork and errors.
