Good for you. I would recommend c#. Its muuuuch easier and really similiar to c.

@HampusMa I wouldn't say C# is *similar* to C by any means, but it is much more intuitive and really powerful by its own merit.

@redpanda101 C is a really fun language to work with and is the basis of most operating systems! I think you'll enjoy it.

Don't get me wrong, I also enjoy C#. But they are waaay to different to be recommended at all.

C is like an original Ford Mustang. Even as oldtimer, it's still cool.

C is definitely my favourite language, but unfortunately I have finite time, and so I use C++. Have a go with it. It makes everything a lot faster, and the cost of having a couple more things happen behind your back.

I use C++, it just makes everything nicer and doesn't cost you a cycle more.

I always recommend people start with it so they learn the basics. If they can't get their heads around pointers and bytes, they have no hope for being a good programmer.
