Ummmmm sorry windows but I think you might have fucked up while “counting”.. the drive isn’t even 4TB to start.
I’m really confused how this could occur lol

    Can’t we modify the header to make it that big? Superficially? Also could we use that technique to allow people to “download more storage”?

    "Sparse" files, too, such as where a file only has ~1kb of data but its metadata says the filesize is e.g. 10mb.

    These allow you to store files with large chunks of zeros in less space.

    Edit: these actually have the opposite effect of what's displayed: their size is larger than their size-on-disk.

    Windows explorer does not understand symbolic links and counts them too.
