*what keeps Apple developers up at night?

And to answer your amazingly well worded( condescending) question: the same work and money that allows us to purchase such equipment.

Shit don't hurt when it pays itself.

I still wonder why people still develop for iOS

@ZioCain Because 1) iOS users often don't mind to pay $5 for an app which is free on Android, and 2) it has a significant market share in some parts of the world, so larger companies can't afford to make Android-only apps.

@hitko I totally understand that! I'm building iOS apps as well, but I just hate it and wish that Apple smh made it easier to make apps for iOS

@ZioCain try Android then. It will make you appreciate how straight forward and proper we have it on iosdeveland

@AleCx04 had it pretty rough with iOS and Xcode and didnt mind using android studio or Android, used them both on an ancient Mac (2015 or later i think) Android studio ran great and Xcode not so much. Also had issues with setting up certificates for the iOS app I worked on (which in the end I answered a question people had trouble woth).

Some things are good about each side of coin, personally like Android when it came down to it.

@f03n1x i was not talking about the IDEs. Generally speaking, either one can be complete shit depending on the version, and it is true that xcode sucks in most times.

But the API. The API for Android is ridiculous. And there really are no two ways about it. Just look at the ammount of crap you have to do for something as simple as permissions or shake events or sending content to a different file. Much less time consuming on one over the other.

In the end. Rest assured I hate them both :D but if I have to work on mobile development again(as I have done professionally in the past) i will stay with IOS even though I love my Android device.

@AleCx04 well I usually develop through unity or ionic/cordova, so I don't really know either XCode or AndroidStudio, but permission-wise, Android > iOS (I once lost 4k just because of iOS permission system changes)

I have done iOS programming for 9 years and I enjoy it.

I did Java programming for about 12 before iOS. It was a painful experience. I can go in details but I will save it for another time.

Apple Development: couple devices (all Apple), one IDE, one place to look for reference, .... I can keep going.

Easy development and no headaches. Oh I forgot.. iOS developers tend to make more money because iOS Apps make more money.

    What am I missing?

@AleCx04 That first comment completely missing the point... Apple is one of the least ethical companies in the tech world.

@s0nic12 i do not care about such things. If I had to go around picking my products based on how ethical companies are then I would not buy anything at all.

The developer fraternity is to be blamed. Why pure Linux developers use Apple products? Why Apple like Linux development machines hard to find, it's either Windows preloaded or Mac's? It's sickening sometimes.
