    As far as I know, you cannot disable these notifications. The best idea I have for it, other than, of course, just not using FB, is not use FB very much. That works for my sanity.

    My dude, you need, to learn, how to, use commas, better, my friend.

    This won't prevent these notifications. It's still only to prevent any further ones. I was referring to the fact that there isn't a way, AFAIK, to stop notifications about threads that don't involve you from being generated at all.

    Is a win for Facebook, too. It usually generates traffic, one way or another.

    He's not using it as a list, and the commas added as a partial-stop decrease the flow and clarity of his sentences. To that end, I'd say it's an incorrect use of the comma.

    It flows better, is much more coherent, and removes multiple unnecessary commas.

    Sorry, it's one of two punctuation things that drive me mental because of how radically it changes the reader's view of tone in the sentence. Repeated periods are the other because it can be a "fill in the blank", a "you've gotta be kidding me", an "I'm being melodramatically depressed", etc.

    @jschmold Are you talking about ellipsis?
  • 0
    @hackedranger
    Repeated periods can include the ellipsis
  • 0
    @jschmold You're meaning to include the excessive version where it goes out for like a mile then? "............."

    @hackedranger
    Yes. Any quantity of repeating periods drives me insane because of how the quantity directly reflects the meaning
