Well, you can configure your IDE to emit 4 spaces on a tab press (that's how i do it)

But that Hungarian notation thing... Fuck that, don't contribute

All IDE's convert tabs to spaces.
4 spaces us the standard in most projects.

For resons @Krokoklemme mentioned tabs vs. spaces shouldn't really matter. I too do prefer tabs, but use spaces in work.

I personally think tabs should be rendered with 4 spaces in every text editor there is (excluding oo or msword or pages ofc)

Genuine tab user here. More economical when using arrow keys to navigate and easier to fix when things need realigning.

@inaba I do. Still doesn’t address the realignment issue, however. That method also skips all whitespace—troublesome when you want to trace a particular loop.

Lastly, it’s extra effort to support formatting I hate.
