Mac suddenly stopped working. Came to know motherboard is gone & the price to get it changed is around 60k.

@Jilano I made quite a detailed site about that (if you build yourself or can make someone build for you). Not sure if any of those can run Hackintosh, but why anyone would want OSX is beyond me anyway.

BTW, the rag mini I used to work with has had its onboard GPU shot by an ESD. On the fucking case. In my 10 years of home building PCs I never had ducked up that bad.

You can also grill them by touching that metal keyboard that comes with them because apparently, noone in Cupertino has ever heard of isolation or quality assurance.

Just buy Intel machine and install hackintosh

1. Is it outside of warranty?
2. Did you not deign to purchase insurance for this very purpose?

It’s ridiculously expensive, aye, but it’s an expensive machine with complex manufacturing requirements, surely for something that expensive, you’d buy insurance?

I have a MacBook air that has its mother board fried and I had to pay 22K... Just 2 days after my warranty ran out

I had an iPhone 6 .. that had water fine inside it and it's screen broken .. the Apple service centre asked for 26K for a replacement. I go online and I checked the prices for a new 6 .. and it costed 21 ..

Side note .. I kept the iPhone in a box of rice and used a hairdryer after which it worked .. ( it always does )

But the point is .. these guys could be some genuine pricks sometimes ... But I've been a bit too invested in this ecosystem now it's too hard for me to leave.

Save the case. Hackentosh is legal if it is inside a Mac case. Just use duck tape to retro-fit the Mac case over your next pc. 😂
