My problem with your statement is, you're implying that you/we can't do it.
As if a software engineer can't fix simple hardware problems. We're talking about family... So how hard could it be? Even, if they fucked up the whole router configuration and for what ever reason you have to do it all by hand, it's still in the range of skills of a software developer 😅
