So I’ve been working for this company for +4 years. When I started we were 6 dev. Now we are 1. It’s just me. Thankfully I’m leaving next week to start at another company. But right now I’m kinda loosing my mind. I have a deadline tomorrow and I’m super stressed because I’m not done. I have bugs to fix, documentation to write and all that stuff. I’m pissed off because people don’t understand what I do, why it takes time, why I want to be alone at home just coding instead of sitting at the office being interrupted with stupid ass questions about html or upcoming project. I don’t give a fuck about their clients or upcoming projects. I’m only working for them 7 more days and then they have 0 dev left. Fuck them. Fuck the CEO, fucking piece of shit. Can’t wait to flip them off leaving next week.

I've been the "sole dev" mostly for about the same time, and I can honestly say I feel you ....

@xewl I’m so fed up with the situation now. No one ever cared or listened to me about the situation, and now they are panicking about having 0 devs and whine about devs being to expensive. Yeah I fucking wonder why everyone left...

@squanchy right.. for me they "listened", 3-4 times by now, but in the end they've not done anything about it, and last time they just did again, what I just urged them to stop doing 5 seconds before, hidden behind a "compliment" :{ Realizing that a few hours later, made it just so much more fucked...

But I do like my job, what I do is my life, and has been for 17years by now, I'm only 28 this year.. that's an horrendous outcome for what should be my biggest pride.

I'm considering my options, that's for sure......

Luckily you already seem to have made the choice, and yes, it's quite the right one imho.

    Squanch & prosper!

You're leaving the company in a week. Why stress about the deadline?

how does the dead line matter at all when you are leaving next week? Seems like a problem for other people, namely, whoever promised that date with 0 personell assigned to the project

@BurnoutDV I don’t even. I just feel sorry for my colleagues, it’s not their fault things will crash and burn after I leave. The management gives zero fucks about our department.
