@metamourge their operating system deals with it as best as it can. You can toggle between drawing with gpu and igpu with a click and restart. Unfortunately it's no optimal like on Windows where dgpu is only used for 3d applications

Looking at it from germoney, their shit looks rather overprized. Apparently marketed to a sub group to appeal stylish and cool while having a rather stiff markup.
I think you can get cheaper HP laptops with the same specs.
If you happen to be based in and around germoney, i found this vendor who has configurable laptops in a similar range where you can just ship without any OS. But i dont know how good they are and how far they deliver:

They do. Though I wouldn't call them linux-unfriendly. Or if you do, then you would have to call nvidia windows-unfriendly and mac-unfriendly too. It's just a non-free driver. Non-free as it is, it works very well on Linux.
There are rumors that future models system76 will release will come with Radeon chips, and I think that would be pretty bitchin', but Intel/nvidia doesn't scare me away.
Their computers are definitely priced more ambitiously than most OEMs, for the hardware, but they are excellent machines, and I am more than happy to throw my support behind a company based in my city, and with a strong commitment to Linux. That's worth extra money to me. Also, the specs they offer aren't available in a Mac for any amount of money, but the closest apple comes is still far higher in price. -
@bahua
Supporting a company close by with this mission is the reason I am thinking of supporting them. Yes I know they’re pricey compared to what I can get else where, but I am only a few states away. Really the only thing I am worried about is battery life from what I’ve seen. It seems like they’re tackling that though. -

The battery life on my Oryx was abysmally bad when I first got it. Through some minor tweaks, I've extended screen-on-time from about an hour to about five hours. -
I got a Galago Pro with a HiDPI screen, love the thing, battery life is a bit eeh for what I use it for, might want to try their 1080p model when the current one needs to be replaced.

Anyone with experience with system 76? Need a new laptop soon and I am intrigued with their stuff. Used Linux for some time so not worried that, more about build quality etc.
