It can if you compile your own Android ROM
Or if it does support Lineage OS
I don't know about changing phones, the last phone I used was Alcatel Flash 2, it survived for 3 sweet years before battery dead. -

Do you know of any models that meet the rest of the qualifications? Because I doubt even that exists. -
@bahua You're asking the wrong person tbh, I'm not really into mobile phones, I use anything that can get me access to WhatsApp and internet browsing

ajit55518516yMy phone, most of the time, is running on a small power bank (have a couple of them). It has been 1.5 yrs n my phone's original battery is in pretty good condition.

ajit55518516y@irene I could think of this as only "cost effective" solution to convert my phone having a 10000 mah battery, lasting 2 full days of continuous use without bothering to charge.

My old phone is a Huawei P9, which for being made in 2016 is an outstanding unit, but it uses a kirin CPU, which isn't great for custom roms. That said, it's an excellent fallback, if I was to accidentally smash my Asus.
I keep phones for two years, or try to anyway. Later this year I will hit that two year mark, and rather than excitement at the idea of getting a new phone, I find myself thinking that there's nothing out there that excites me at all. And also, my current phone is in no way deficient. It doesn't hold a charge like when it was new, but that's totally normal, and as degraded as it may be, it's still not a problem at all.
A powerful phone with a snapdragon and 6 or more GB of memory, that measures under 5" and doesn't have some bullshit OEM skin on it. To my knowledge, it doesn't exist.
