made a prototype and showed the demo to clients. They asked me where it was stored and how to access to the code. Told them where it was stored was was a trial and it has expired. Asked me why I didn't pay the subscription. Also asked me if I could send them the code, for them to "try using it" and "implement it in their office". Told them if they wanted to use the program, it needs to be done again (since this is a prototype). 3 days now, no sounds from the client.

Typical. "Here's a downsized paper model of a car" - "When can we drive it to the highway?".

I'm more and more convinced we shouldn't do prototypes.

People will screw you over if given the chance. Many people will also try making it sound like a nice thing.

    People are vile, horrible creatures.

Maybe try making the prototype functional for showing, but fucking ugly so everybody sees its not usable in production.

@Ederbit it was definitely not usable in production

@Mxlt Use a site that lets you create simple layouts will page transitions and static content only. That would be fool proof.....right?...RIGHT?

@Ederbit when we do that, we call it "click dummy" instead of prototype. So far this seems to be understood better.

@VaderNT @Ederbit I already had a click dummy, that was showed the second day. 3 weeks later we had a prototype. I think by mentioning 3 weeks is already enough information to know it definitely was a prototype
