iAmNaN68456yDon't feel bad. I've been around a lot longer, and I don't have any either. I had a few a couple of decades ago, but quickly realized that they aren't as valuable as some think they are, and saw no point in renewing them.

other people's achievements can be inspiring or demoralizing, specially at young age.
said prodigies tend to be
a) natural born prodigies (eg high iq)
b) raised and trained properly with good parenting (mostly this one)
most of the prople I met that were performing well in life had parents that cared about said performance.
sometimes they even have a long lineage of great parenthood.
people like me that just go through life figuring it out on your own, well, it just takes longer and depends on the people you meet as a grown up.
my kid OTOH will inherit all my advices and support... so some people have a head start...
also agree with @iAmNaN, not everything that shines... -
[@erandria, @ iAmNaN] Maybe I just feel like I don’t try hard enough. Maybe I’m just tired of playing Flappy Bird with my blood sugar... either way, thanks for advice, guys.

Certifications aren't valueable to me at all, so I intentionally don't give much of a shit.
My job is paying a consultant to do some Node.js training for a few days. In our downtime the guy was telling us about his daughter whom he’s been teaching computer type shit at home for years. He says she’s got every cert offered by CompTIA. She’s 16 years old. That’s demoralizing af. I’ve got zero certifications. I’ve gotta get on top of this shit...
